Sessions
The conference will present the latest research into the environmental fate of pesticides, modelling, risk prevention and risk mitigation. The environmental compartments of soil, water and air will be addressed, as well as the pesticide fate in plants and biota. Regulatory issues will be also addressed.
Oral and poster presentations are invited for the following sessions:
Laboratory research
- Session 1 - Microbiological and chemical interaction
Sorption, transformation, bioavailability, aged and bound residues, microbial communities interaction, etc.
Fate studies
- Session 2 - Field studies
- Session 3 - Monitoring and post-registration studies
Study design, environmental monitoring results, field leaching studies, spray drift, lysimeter-studies, volatilisation, residues in plants and biota, etc.
Regulatory
- Session 4 - Risk characterization and its regulation
Procedures for risk assessment, landscape risk assessment, etc. Regulatory issues and policies.
Modelling
- Session 5 - Modelling pesticide fate
Modelling tools, small and large scales (soil, water, air, plant and biota), uncertainty relating to modelling, indicators for pesticide use and management for soil, inverse modelling, etc.
Risk prevention and risk mitigation
- Session 6
All techniques related to prevention and mitigation of point and nonpoint contamination of environmental compartments.
